Are you looking for an educational Emergency Response training? With a varied curriculum, we train our participants to become first-aiders in the organization in case of emergencies. The training is a combination of theory and practice, in which the tasks and duties of the Emergency Response Officer are central.

Our experienced instructors train participants throughout the country to be Emergency Response Officer. In 1 day you will learn sufficient basic knowlegde and skills to be able to act in case of emergencies in the workplace. You will learn the necessary theory toghether with other participants and you will do various practical exercises, such as CPR and fire extinguishing. At the end of the training you will take the compulsory exam and the instructor will determine whether you are competent. In case of a positive outcome, you will receive a certificate and you will be a certified ERO for a year.

What do you learn during our training?

During the Emergency Response training, different modules are covered and participants train together with our instructor skills in the field of life-saving first aid, firefighting and evacuation. During the training, students learn more about, among other things:

  • Fire and firefighting (including extinguishing exercise)
  • Alerting and evacuation of persons
  • Bandaging
  • Acting when someone is choking
  • CPR including AED
  • Recovery position

Who is the training for?

Our basic Emergency Response training is for every employee who has been appointed as an Emergency Response Officer whitin an organization, but who has not previously obtained a certificate. That is why you do not need any prior knowledge for our basic training. If your ERO has already completed an ER training with us and the certificate is about to expire, then you register your ERO for our refresher training.

You can register for our ER training at one of our 70+ locations in the Netherlands. You register for a training in De Meern (Utrecht), Amsterdam or Dordrecht if you specifically prefer an English training.

Emergency Response, ER for short, is part of an organization’s working conditions policy and helps to manage occupational safety risks. Emergency Response Officers (EROs) are trained to provide assistance in the event of calamities and accidents in the workplace.

According to the Dutch Working Conditions Act (Arbeidsomstandighedenwet) every employer is responsible for adequate Emergency Response Services to act successfully in firefighting, first aid in case of an accident or evacuation. As an employer, you are therefore obliged to appoint at least one Emergency Response Officer.

How many Emergency Response Officers an organization needs depends on the size of the organization and the occupational risks in the organization.

If you have appointed one or more Emergency Response Officers, the EROs must be properly trained and must have sufficient equipment to be able to perform their duties. 

During a basic course we train you to be Emergency Response Officer in your organisation. We teach you the basics and practice the exercises intensively. During the refresher course we first repeat the basics that you have learned during the basic course and then zoom in on the lesson materials. This elaboration is different every year, so you never follow the same training programme. By following our annual refresher training you keep your knowledge and your skills up to date.

Have you already followed a basic course or a refresher course with us previous year? Then you register for a refresher course. If this is your first time taking a course, you will first have to register for a basic course. 

You will receive educational material of us, including the Emergency Response course book, and a lunch. After the training our instructor will determine wheter you are competent and if yes, you will receive a certificate.

A basic course lasts from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and includes lunch. The refresher course lasts from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and also includes lunch.

After the training our instructor will determine wheter you are competent and if yes, you will receive a certificate. This certificate is valid for 1 year. After that, you follow a refresher course every year. 

A basic course costs € 224,- per person (excl. VAT) and a refresher course costs € 149,- per person (excl. VAT).

Do you want to move or cancel a training? When you are registered, you can move or cancel free of charge up to 5 working days before the training. If you were not present at the training or if you want to move or cancel within 5 working days before the training, we will bring 50% of the costs charged. See also our Terms and conditions.
